Leave Request Automation
An internal leave request system that lets team members submit time-off forms directly from their Notion profile. Requests are instantly sent to approvers via Slack, where they can approve or decline with one click. The system tracks balances, keeps all parties informed, and centralizes HR workflows — without leaving your tools
Project Breakdown
- Problem:
The company’s leave request process was manual, scattered across spreadsheets and emails, leading to missed approvals, inaccurate leave balances, and poor visibility across teams.
- Solution:
I designed an automated system embedded within Notion. Employees submit leave requests via Tally forms, triggering Slack notifications to the assigned approver. Upon approval or rejection, the requester receives an automated update. The system also includes a Notion dashboard displaying leave balances, team calendars (with national holidays), leave statuses, and a helpdesk for HR queries.
- Outcome:
Eliminated manual tracking errors, ensured timely approvals, and improved team visibility on leave schedules and remaining balances—all within a centralized, easy-to-use system.
